What to Share When Receiving a Payment
To receive a payment, share your full account name, BSB, and account number as registered with Bano. You can find this information in the “Deposit for AUD” section of the Bano Corporate Portal and the “add cash” section within the Bano App.
Note that banks, including Bano, may limit the number of characters allowed for the payee name (typically between 32 and 35 characters). This limitation might cause the name entered by the payer to be shorter than your full account name, potentially resulting in a no match outcome.
For individual payments, advise the payer to enter your full name without titles (e.g., Mr., Mrs., Dr.) and include both first and last names. For business payments, recommend avoiding identifiers like "Pty" or "Ltd" and use abbreviations like TA (Trading As) and ATF (As Trustee For).
